Golf du Médoc

Umbraco.Core.Dynamics.PropertyResult
Created in 1989, the Golf du Médoc offers 2 remarkable 18-hole courses: Les Châteaux and Les Vignes, whose principal quality is is their technically rich course design. Ranked among the 100 best golf courses in Continental Europe, these two competition courses regularly host International Championships. Together, the courses boast 3.8 hectares of greens which are perfectly maintained throughout the course of the year. THE CHATEAUX COURSE Par 71 - 7192 yd - Bill Coore (USA) - 1989 The Châteaux course was voted Best Golf Course in France in 2014 by the World Golf Awards. It adheres to the purest tradition of the Scottish ‘links’. The wide fairways bordered by heathers, gorses and brooms carry the players through unspoiled nature. The quality of the greens, the effect of ocean winds and the technical richnessof the course design make this championship course a golfing challenge of the highest order. THE VIGNES COURSE Par 71 - 6821yd - Rod Whitman (CAN) - 1991 This course is embedded in a landscape typical of the region, where the aesthetics of the heath and the maritime pines enrich the architect’s design. The long pars punctuated by elaborate greens and the judiciously placed obstacles demand thought and precision from the player. The great diversity of situations of play, the quality of the course and the charm of its setting will satisfy the needs of even the most demanding of golfers.

Grand Saint-Emilionnais Golf Club

Umbraco.Core.Dynamics.PropertyResult
A five-star golf course located near St Emilion and designed by one of the best architects in the world, Tom Doak. This exceptional course unfolds in a valley fringed by centenary oak trees, framed by vineyards and located just 6 miles from the village of Saint Emilion. A new experience in France that combines the “art de vivre à la française” with the British way of playing golf. The panoramic view over the course from the club-house is a thrill for any golfer. No artificial earth movement was created, holes follow one another in the most natural and free flowing way; such is Tom Doak’s talent for the routing plan.
